Time for TEA was founded in September 2017 by Tracey Phipps. Moving to Orlando from NYC in April of 2016, Tracey discovered something about the women of Central Florida that was electrifying. The hustle, the mindset, the energy and drive to pursue an ideal was unmeasurable. As a stranger to the south, she immediately felt the community of women who embraced her on her new journey. Although things appeared perfect, she noticed there was something missing… for some reason everyone was building a dream but in silos. Building in circles and surroundings that looked and felt familiar. As a world traveler, Tracey knew the power of stepping outside of your cultural background and sitting at a table with people who looked nothing like you. After meeting a diverse group of women in Orlando, she thought about the magic that would occur if they all met. This sparked an idea, and thus Time for TEA was born.

From 40 to 100 women and 3 years later, Time for TEA continues to evolve every year. In 2018, Tracey introduced Time for TEA “teens” initiative in summer programs and schools. She realized that part of breaking the silos started at a young age. Time for TEA “Teens” offers Table etiquette training and social norm awareness for young girls with the intention of helping them feel more comfortable in professional settings. Since inception, this program has impacted over 300+ girls in Central Florida.

Time for TEA started with one person, but will exist for the community. Tracey’s mission is to saturate women in her community with the Time for TEA experience and allow them to experience a level of empowerment unlike any other.
